Check content facts and sources

Compare product claims in a draft with original evidence.

Before you start

This URL continues the former Fact Check guide. Review facts within content work using selected product evidence and sources. Findings in a legacy diagnostic screen and an actual content edit are separate steps.

Step by step

  1. Check the product, market, language, and evidence selected for the content.
  2. Compare price, volume, ingredients, and usage instructions with the original product page. Attribute review experiences to the reviewer.
  3. Separate unverified claims and information available only in images. A stored excerpt does not verify the current full page.
  4. Send the required corrections and sources to your AI, then review its draft against the originals.
  5. Confirm destination permissions and the public result before marking publication complete.

Check the result

Each reviewed item should have evidence and a chosen follow-up action. Treat matching information, insufficient evidence, and a missing brand mention as separate issues.

If something goes wrong

  • If the screen says automatic checking is inactive, do not assume new findings are being generated.
  • If the source changed, compare the excerpt and check time; fresh collected evidence may be needed.
  • Preparing a correction request does not mean the external page has been changed.
