Setting Up Tracking
Add prompts, products, and connect your Shopify or Cafe24 store.
What Is Prompt Tracking
AEKO sends your specified prompts to AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity on a regular schedule, then collects and analyzes how each engine responds — specifically whether your brand and products are mentioned.
Tracking is the combination of three elements: prompts (the questions sent to AI), products (what you're monitoring for mentions), and markets (which countries' AI responses to collect). Setting up this combination well determines the accuracy and usefulness of your data.
Why Tracking Matters
AI engine responses are not static. They change constantly based on model updates, web crawling results, and competitor content strategies. Without continuous tracking, you won't notice when your brand disappears from AI responses until it's too late.
Adding Prompts
There are two ways to add prompts. You can browse the prompt library and select existing prompts, or write your own custom prompts.
Browse the Library
The prompt library is categorized by industry, intent type, and funnel stage. Select the categories relevant to your business and add the prompts you want to track.
Custom Prompts
If you can't find what you need in the library, write your own. When creating a custom prompt, setting the intent type (information seeking, product comparison, purchase recommendation) and funnel stage enables more accurate analysis.
Tip
Write prompts as natural questions that real consumers would ask AI. Specific prompts like "best Korean sunscreen for oily skin" provide more useful insights than generic ones.
Adding Products
There are two ways to register products for monitoring. You can enter product URLs manually, or connect your Shopify/Cafe24 store to import products automatically.
When you enter a product URL, AEKO analyzes the page to identify the product name, category, and key features. This information is used to accurately detect mentions of that product in AI responses.
Connecting Shopify
Go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify. Enter your store URL and authorize the connection. AEKO imports your product catalog automatically and syncs when new products are added.
Connection Steps
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Shopify
- Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g., mystore.myshopify.com)
- Authorize the AEKO app in your Shopify admin
- Products are imported automatically
Tip
After connecting, you can choose which products to track. Tracking your entire catalog can use up plan limits quickly, so start with your key products first.
Connecting Cafe24
Go to Settings → Integrations → Cafe24. Enter your mall ID and authorize the connection. Products are imported automatically. Cafe24 is especially relevant for Korean sellers as it's the most widely used commerce platform in Korea.
Connection Steps
- Go to Settings → Integrations → Cafe24
- Enter your mall ID
- Authorize the AEKO app in Cafe24 admin
- Products are imported automatically
