What the Marketing Section Is Pro and above

The Marketing section connects your contextual reviews and product feed to OpenAI ad campaigns. Real customer situations verified in reviews become ad creative, and your campaigns put products in front of shoppers inside ChatGPT.

The sidebar items are Campaigns, Create Ads, and Ad Settings; results live under Measure → Ad Performance.

Safe by default

New campaigns and ads are always created paused. Nothing serves until you press Activate yourself — no accidental spend.

Prerequisites — Ad Settings

AEKO never creates an OpenAI ad account for you. You provision everything in OpenAI Ads Manager, then register it in the Ad Settings tab.

What to register, and where to find it

  • Ads API key: issued in Ads Manager's Settings tab — validated before saving and never shown again
  • Feed ID and SFTP details: Ads Manager's Feeds screen — AEKO only uploads your product feed to this location
  • Pixel ID: create the pixel under Tools → Conversions → Data Sources, install it on your store, then enter just the ID
  • Conversion key (optional): for server-side events — stored for now

The setup order is ① connect the account → ② save + sync the feed → ③ save conversion settings. The feed and conversion panels unlock after the account is connected.

Required before serving

Before ads can serve, set up a payment method and account logo in Ads Manager. Both are completed on OpenAI's side.

Product Feed

Pressing Sync feed builds a feed file from your synced store products and uploads it to the registered SFTP location. Only products with a public URL and image are eligible; the screen shows eligible and excluded product counts.

Two ad types

  • Standard ads: built from reviews and context hints — context hints apply to standard ads only
  • Product feed ads: built from product sets — can only launch once the feed is ready

Managing Campaigns

On the Campaigns page you create campaigns (name + budget — the budget is set at creation), then add ad groups (max bid, context hints) and ads (title up to 50 chars, body up to 100, landing URL, image) beneath them. The ad form's Generate draft button gives you an AI draft to start from.

Campaigns, ad groups, and ads each have Activate / Pause / Archive controls. Everything starts paused: review, then activate yourself.

Four Ways to Create Ads

Generate suggestions → approve

Set the language, minimum context score, and products, and AEKO groups customer reviews into suggested ad groups. Review and edit the titles, bodies, and images, then Approve & create — they're created paused.

Bulk-create from reviews

Creates ads for every product with contextual reviews above your score threshold. Pick the campaign, language, bid, and product cap, then Start bulk creation — it runs in the background.

Product set ads

Build a product set, then Launch product set ads to create product-feed ads. Requires the feed to be ready.

Straight from the Context page

You can also create ads from the review list under Analyze → Context — turn a single review into a standard ad, or use the batch bar to bulk-create by score threshold.

Checking Results

Campaign results live under Measure → Ad Performance — account and feed status, clicks/CTR, spend/impressions, a daily table for the last 30 days, and per-product engagement. See the Measure — Site & Ad Performance guide for details.
